The Ultimate Gift For A Cat Lover?

I’m not sure if "The New Encyclopedia Of The Cat" is the ULTIMATE gift for a cat lover :-) - but it’s a contender!

It’s a wonderful book on many different levels and hits a home run in two completely different areas: it’s a fabulous educational / reference book - as well as a great coffee table book. And that is an impressive combination.

Basically, it covers the subject of cats from every conceivable angle.

For starters, its history of the feline species is incredibly rich. The encyclopedia doesn’t just chronicle the physical evolution of the cat but its history in human culture - its role in areas such as art, literature and spirituality -  something ALMOST GUARANTEED to fascinate any cat lover!

Other parts of the book cover cat health (including anatomy), behavior and cat care in similarly impressive and comprehensive detail.

Lastly - this is the part that makes it a great coffee table book - it has detailed profiles (history, colors, markings, temperament etc) and BEAUTIFUL photographs of dozens of different cat breeds. And if that isn’t enough, it covers hundreds of OTHER cat breeds in less detail.

Written by world renowned veterinarian Dr. Bruce Fogle, what’s not to like? I think it is a WONDERFUL book and would make an inspired gift idea for any cat lover!
