Taking Your Cat’s Temperature

The normal body temperature for cats ranges between 100 degrees to 102.5 degrees Fahrenheit. If your pet has a temperature less than 99 or over 104, you should contact your veterinarian immediately.

But how can you tell? Do they feel too warm to your touch? Are they acting sick? Well you can now check their temperature without using a rectal thermometer.

The Pet-Temp Instant Ear Thermometer developed by Advanced Monitors Corporation can be used by pet owners to quickly, easily and accurately monitor the health of companion animals. The thermometer measures infrared heat waves emanated from an animal’s eardrum and provides an accurate reading of core body temperature in one second.
