So, you have decided to get a purebred kitten, but you are not sure yet which breed you want. The internet is a valuable resource for doing research on breed characteristics and compatibilities. But, there is so much information in cyberspace that it can be overwhelming.

Cheap Pet Store has a wonderful set of free, downloadable ebooks about most well known cat breeds. On the right-hand side of their webpage, you will see the ebooks available. The last time I checked, there were books on Maine Coons, Orientals, Sphynxes, Birmans, Ragdolls, Abyssinians, Persians, Siamese and American Shorthairs.

The books can be downloaded in PDF format. They are attractive and informative with about 5 or 6 pages of information and pictures. Each book covers the basic breed information such as size, weight, configuration, and health concerns. The books also give advice on finding a breeder and selecting a kitten that is healthy.

There are sections on bring home your kitten and caring for a kitten, adult, and mature cat. You will have to tolerate some store specific advertising in the free cat breed books, but as they say, "The Price is Right".
