Fur be-gone
Few things signal that you are a cat owner more clearly than animal fur clinging to your clothes. Not only is this distracting and may reflect poorly on you in the eyes of some less than enthusiastic pet people but, cat hair may trigger allergic reaction in some people. Frequently brushing your cat will help remove some of the fur before it can find your navy suit, but cats seem to have the ability to shed at will.
The sight of your suit laying on the bed waiting to be put on as you get ready to leave him or her may be an irresistible temptation for a quick roll and rub. Your cat wants you, and any other feline, to know that the wearer of this garment is owned by a cat.
There are several ways to remove cat fur from your clothing, some more effectively than others. According to eHow, you can use a damp cloth, a lint remover, or the ever popular duct tape. Here is what they have learned.
1. A simple method that works sometimes for some people is a damp cloth- like a wash cloth. Brush the damp wash cloth over your clothes where the fur is attached. Wipe against or perpendicular to the weaving of the fabric. The wetness acts as a sticky cloth to the fur.
2. A lint brush - that is sticky paper on a roller that can be moved against the fabric to remove the fur. You will need to use several sheets and cover each clothing area at least twice to effectively remove most of the fur.
3. An stickier tape, like duct tape, may work even better than a lint brush or lint roller. You can cut off a piece of duct tape and wrap it around your hand or just reverse a piece of tape on the duct tape roll.
