Fancy Cats Online And Free

The Cat Fancier’s Association has an online publication - Fanc-e-Mews that has a wealth of information for cat lovers. In the July/August 2007 issue, there is information on California AB 1634 that requires spay/neuter of cats and dogs who come in contact with animal control.

There is a description of the top 10 hazards encountered by pets, and information on heartworm disease in cats. And much more! There are major sections with articles on health care, cat breeds, legislation that may affect cats or cat owners, and pet product reviews.

What is the Cat Fancier’s Association? Cat Fanciers’ Association (CFA) has the world’s largest registry of pedigreed cats. CFA is a non-profit organization founded in 1906. The first cat shows licensed by CFA were held during 1906. In 1909, CFA published the first cat Stud Book and Register. The Association has grown steadily since it incorporation and now had total receipts of over $2,300,000 during fiscal year 2002-2003.

CFA has a number of programs that invite and encourage participation in the cat related aactivities, such as Junior Showmanship and Mentor Program. If you are interested in a new kitten or an adult, they also offer a Cat Breeders Referral Service.
