Equal Time for Cats
Ok, enough is enough. Not only do dogs steal the TV once a year with their premier Westminster dog show, almost all the pets on TV are dogs (not counting the cockatoo on Bareta because that was a long time ago).
At last count, according to Answers.com, there are over 50 instances of pet dogs on TV shows. OK, so Caroline in the city had two cats, and of course Garfield and Morris were famous in commercials and movies. But, come on, cats are the most popular pet in the United States - where is our equal representation?
If you think your feline has what it takes to make it on the big or small screen, there is a talent agency in Hollywood to help you get there. Hollywood Paws is a talent agency that helps working professionals in the animal actor industry. HollywoodPaws Talent Agency conducts auditions nationally and internationally in order to find new animal actors and Studio Trainers.
They offer workshops at HollywoodPaws’ Studio to prepare animal actors and trainers for a future career in the animal acting industry. Of course, this help does come with a price tag. And, there are many who believe that cats will not allow themselves to be exploited for commercial gain ;-).
