What do you read first thing in the morning? The newspaper? Your email? The weather forecast? Well, here is something to add to your morning routine and to brighten your day - The Cat of the Day. This site offers pictures of a featured feline and a brief story about what makes that cat special.

The site is an act of love. Everyday there is a new picture and story. But, there are also archives of previous pets-of-the-day. The site is viewed all over the world - to date 125 difference country’s citizens have checked out the site.

You can even nominate your cat to be a featured pet. All you need to do is submit a picture and your pet’s name, age, species or breed, and its city/state/country of residence. You are encouraged to provide a brief write up about your pet. You can talk about how it came to be yours, how you are training it, or anything particularly cute or noteworthy you want to say.

The site includes a forum to read pet stories, links to pet resources, and a search engine to help you find specific breeds or pictures.
